SOMEBODY, NOBODY AND EVERYBODY

We all know about three people called Somebody, Nobody and Everybody and the popular story around them. These are friends, or should I say colleagues? When duty calls, especially the type that will not be acknowledged or there will be no reward for it, only one person ends up doing the work – almost all the time.

For example, there was litter to be picked, Everybody thought Somebody will pick it up and put It in a bin. But Nobody picked it. In the hostels, we saw a person bullying another. As usual, seeing that it was a bad thing, Everybody assumed Somebody was going to stop the perpetrator. But Nobody stopped him.

In our Academy community, with our emphasis on integrity, are you among the Everybody who just push things to others, a Somebody who has the capacity to solve the problem but doesn’t? Do we just watch as Nobody solves it? Integrity is an ‘accolade’ which Everybody would want attached to his/her name. Let us walk the talk.
