Maintaining Kamuzu Academy
Maintaining our huge campus is an ongoing task and this term we have undertaken some significant projects, including the installation of wifi and constructing new outdoor common rooms in both hostels, as well as upgrading the BPR to become the new Sixth Form Common Room, repainting several hostel corridors and refurbishing the Chemistry Prep Room.
You may also have noticed that the old ceiling in the Reception area has been replaced and new lighting added.
However, our biggest project has been refurbishing the main swimming pool after several years - all 33 metres of it! It’s been drained (which takes a while), repainted, railings mended, refilled with water and pumps and filters have been maintained, over the last half term. The pool has been back in action for the past 3 weeks - an essential facility during our hot season.
