IN THE KNICK OF TIME (Part 2)
He
(the story teller) could always start his stories with “Ururururu, thyo! thyo! Zigwe pano nzatonse, abale”
On that day, this statement was said, and then the announcer interjected, with
a solemn voice, “We are sorry to announce the passing away of …. He passed away
this morning and burial arrangements will be announced later.” And after that,
they just played some solemn music befitting a funeral. You cannot imagine my
frustration. The man couldn’t wait another day to die. His time had come, and I
just missed him. Why didn’t I try to tune in earlier? Why did I wait for four
years?
“To
everything there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven….” I
missed the story-telling season, and it was not going to come back for me.
This is the season for you to make a
stable future, a time to make grades which will enable you get into your
desired course in college. But the season will pass by one day. No matter how
much you may want it back at that time, it will not be possible. Or if it comes
back, it will not be as easy. Grab it now, in the Knick of Time.
